WANA (Apr 03) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, in a phone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Thursday night, reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to regional peace and dialogue. He stated that the Islamic Republic has never sought war or conflict and that non-peaceful use of nuclear energy has no place in Iran’s security and defense doctrine. He emphasized Iran’s readiness for engagement and dialogue to ease tensions based on mutual interests and respect.

 

“We have no intention of waging war against any country, but we have no hesitation in defending ourselves. Our preparedness and capability in this regard are at the highest level,” Pezeshkian stressed.

 

He further noted that if Muslim nations unite, they can prevent oppression and crimes against Islamic countries, including Palestine and the people of Gaza. He expressed confidence that through cooperation, Islamic countries can ensure security and prosperity in the region.

 

Pezeshkian also praised the Saudi Crown Prince’s remarks on enhancing cooperation and solidarity among Muslim and neighboring nations. He reiterated that collective action by Islamic countries could stop Israeli crimes against the people of Gaza, restore stability and peace, and promote regional growth.

 

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in turn, appreciated President Pezeshkian’s stance on strengthening unity among Muslim nations. He expressed hope that continued collaboration between Iran and Saudi Arabia would lead to greater achievements in regional stability, security, and development.

 

He also highlighted the importance of regional cooperation, emphasizing that Iran, Saudi Arabia, and other countries in the region could play a vital role in fostering peace and stability. He affirmed Saudi Arabia’s readiness to help resolve tensions and security challenges in the region.
